About Me
Sadaf Tahvildar Zadeh was born in 1976 in London. A passion for arts developed early in her, leading to her studying graphics in high school and then theatre at university level. She graduated in her academic discipline, theatrical costume and stage design; but then turned to her real passion, Fashion Design.
In 2006 she designed, manufactured and exhibited her first line of clothing for women, and she has been active in this field ever since.
Throughout her professional career, contemporary dance, theatre and music have always been a source of creative inspiration for her. She has always considered attire, not only as a necessity; what is an element of the greatest stage; having a character of its own and and put rain a specific feeling, along with light colour and other visual elements. In this sense, there is no difference between a theatre stage and real human life. We are all but actors upon the stage of life. who, along with forms & colours and influenced by different shades of light and compose a part of a painting.
Alongside this view, an attachment to the history and the evolution of fashion design has always been evident in Sadaf Tahvildar Zadeh’s works; especially, one of European industrial revolution era. This post modernist point of view, is one of the pillars upon which her independent creative identity stands; recreating humanity’s past, in a modern and contemporary format.
